Doctoral Day - EM Strasbourg

Philosophy of the doctoral day

Traditionally, the doctoral day is seen as a way to help PhD students progress in their thesis. The progress (content and strategy) of the thesis is discussed by full professors and fellow PhD students. It is a privileged moment to expose one’s work to other researchers than the thesis’ supervisor and thus to advance one’s reflection and research work. It is also a place to meet other PhD students and to share ideas with peers.

This doctoral day is supervised and organized by full professors – experienced and recognized researchers in the field – who are willing and open to share not only their expertise in order to help advance the work of the participants, but also their professional life and experience to facilitate the integration of PhD students in the community.

The AEI doctoral day is open to all PhD students working in the AEI research interests, regardless of the state of development of their thesis.

The PhD students are kindly invited to submit their paper proposals to the main conference tracks in addition to their submission to the doctoral day workshop.
